Stichting World Wide Juf

World wide juf is personal education from afar via audio-visual media for Dutch and Flemish children who live abroad.

World wide juf believes in the importance of giving the children the feeling of a Dutch identity while they live abroad. World wide juf gives NTC-Lessons online to preserve this. NTC stands for Nederlandse (Dutch), Taal (Language) and Cultuur (Culture).

The staff of World wide juf teaches at various hours and days during the week. We offer lessons in the morning, afternoon and evening, seven days a week! In this way we can reach our students all over the world.

World wide juf is affiliated to the foundation NOB and is supported by the Dutch Ministry of Education, Culture and Science. NOB stands for: Nederlands Onderwijs in het Buitenland (Dutch education Abroad).

Main purposes of World Wide juf are:

  • To ensure that children have fun whilst learning the Dutch language;
  • Making sure their Dutch level stays the same as their age group in the Netherlands and Belgium.
  • In case of a return to the Netherlands or Belgium, keeping the levels equal will help making the return easier for the children.
  • Giving language and Culture a place within the general upbringing of our students..
  • ‘Unburden’ the parents.

World wide juf offers the Dutch lessen via Private Lessons so all lessons can be adjusted to the needs and standards of the child. After the lessons the students and parents receive an email regarding their homework. They should be able to make this independently, if questions do arise, they can of course contact their teacher via skype or email. World wide juf is responsible for the guidance of the students.
To make sure the NTC-lessons program runs smoothly, it is necessary that the children follow private lessons of an hour, during 40 weeks each school year. Furthermore, they will receive homework each week that will take them about an hour to complete. Besides the lessons and homework, it is important that the Dutch language is spoken at home.

School year 2017 - 2018. World Wide Juf teaches students in: United Kingdom, France, Switzerland, Sweden, Slovenia USA, Mexico, Argentinia, Brazil, Gabon, Saoedi ArabiaSingapore, Myanmar, India and Japan.
